Six F-15Cs landed at Incirlik AB, Turkey, on Nov. 6 to help the country secure the sovereignty of its airspace. The six aircraft, from the 48th Fighter Wing at RAF Lakenheath, England, make up half of the 12 F-15s expected to deploy to Turkey. The additional F-15E Strike Eagles will support Operation Inherent Resolve. The government of Turkey requested US support to help secure its airspace, according to an Air Force release. The deployment shows “unwavering support for Turkish sovereignty and the collective security of the region,” the release states. The jets join 12 A-10s that arrived last month for Inherent Resolve.
