The Air Force Association will close on Wednesday in honor of the late President George H.W. Bush; the Daily Report will resume Thursday, Dec. 6.

Bush, the 41st President and father of the 43rd, George W. Bush, died Nov. 30 at the age of 94. He was the youngest Navy pilot to serve in World War II, and the last President to have served in combat.

The 89th Airlift Wing at JB Andrews, Md., will conduct a tribute flight over Bush’s interment site on Wednesday afternoon to honor the late President, according to an Air Force release.

A USAF VC-25A assigned to the wing’s Presidential Airlift Group—one of two known as “Air Force One” when the current President is aboard—will make the journey over the spot in College Station, Texas, around 4 p.m. local time. The aircraft will carry a new call sign during the mission: Special Airlift Mission 41.
