US Central Command’s Twitter and YouTube accounts has been suspended after ISIS sympathizers hacked the site, posting threatening messages to US troops, propaganda videos, and some military documents. One tweet read, “American soldiers, we are coming, watch your back!” The profile picture and the cover photo were both changed, showing images of an alleged ISIS terrorist and displaying the words “CyberCaliphate” and “i love you isis.” White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest told reporters Monday the Obama Administration is “examining and investigating the extent of the incident,” reported the Washington Post. Although he said the Administration takes such actions seriously, he noted there is a “pretty significant difference” between “a large data breach and the hacking of a Twitter account,” according to the blog post.
