Both the Air Force Marathon’s full marathon and half marathon events on Sept. 18 are now sold out for the first time ever, race organizers have announced. But there are still open slots for the 5k race on Sept. 17 and 10k race on the next day, they said. “Registrations have just been flooding in this year,” said Molly Louden, Air Force Marathon director, in a release. She added, “We have increased our race caps in every category. The demand has been unprecedented.” This year, the full marathon will have 3,000 runners and the half marathon will have 5,000. Race caps are set for 2,000 participants for the 5k race and 10k event, according to the release.
