The Defense Advisory Committee on Military Compensation met again last week, this time high on the agenda was a discussion of “fairness” when it come to implementing changes they plan to propose. Among topics under consideration are the consolidation of some special and incentive pays, delaying when retirement annuities are payable, earlier vesting of retirement benefits, and encouraging longer careers for unique skills. Have they ruffled any feathers, yet? The committee maintains that its recommendations—which have a ways to go—would only apply to future members of the services. That’s fair, right
Anduril and General Atomics will develop their Collaborative Combat Aircraft for the Air Force, beating out Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman, the service announced on April 24. But any of the non-selected companies can compete to actually manufacture the eventual design, the Air Force said.
