Intel Wing Activated at Langley

Air Combat Command recently stood up the 363rd Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Wing during a ceremony at JB Langley-Eustis, Va., announced the command on Monday. The wing will have with a unique mission within the Air Force: providing integrated targeting and analysis, and producing tailored targeting products for airmen at operational and tactical levels, according to ACC’s release. “Through this wing, we will harness the power of both the Air Force and the national intelligence enterprises,” said Col. Michael Stevenson, wing commander. “Our ultimate customers, the men and women who plan and fly operational missions, will see dramatic boosts in our target systems analyses and greatly enhanced understanding of the threat,” he said. The wing falls under 25th Air Force, the new organization that oversees ISR matters for the combat air forces. The wing comprises entities including the Air Force Targeting Center at Langley, the 361st ISR Group at Hurlburt Field, Fla., and the 526th Intelligence Squadron and 547th IS at Nellis AFB, Nev., states the release.
