Sixty-six assignments to Incirlik AB, Turkey, have been extended to 24-month tours regardless of accompanied status, states a late December release from the Air Force Personnel Center. This change applies to anyone selected for assignment to Incirlik after Jan. 1, and includes positions held by airmen first class all the way through lieutenant colonel as long as they “directly support the priority level one mission” there, said Bill Warner, AFPC’s assignment programs and procedures branch chief. Airmen in current priority level one positions will continue their 15- or 24-month assignments as originally planned, according to the release.
