The recently thwarted terrorist attacks in the United Kingdom haven’t slowed the pace of activity at either RAF Lakenheath or nearby RAF Mildenhall, the US Air Force’s two largest bases in the UK, reports Stars and Stripes. Although British officials raised security levels and restricted traffic at airports, US Air Forces in Europe airmen and their families at the two bases have seen uninterrupted access via the usual bus company shuttle service. Base spokesmen told the Stripes that they planned to continue area trips and tours, but they were evaluating each on a “case-by-case basis.”
