Seven Turkish officers are visiting US European Command at Stuttgart, Germany, in an effort to increase cooperation between the Turkish General Staff and the regional combatant command, reports journalist TSgt. Devin Fisher. The eight-day indoctrination, which includes stops at facilities in Heidelberg and Kaiserslautern once they leave Stuttgart, is the culmination of a two-year effort. Air Force Maj. Gen. Robertus Remkes, EUCOM director of strategy, policy, and assessments, said the visit would foster transparency and trust between the two nations. He also said EUCOM is looking “forward to building on the already strong military-to-military relationship and strengthening this partnership starting at the action officer level.”
The Senate Armed Services Committee this week released the full text of its version of the 2026 defense policy bill—often referred to as the National Defense Authorization Act—that would allow the Air Force and Space Force to spend billions of dollars more than the services had sought for next year.
