There is a move afoot by House Republicans to bring to the House floor open debate over operations in Iraq, reports the Chicago Tribune. Reporter Jill Zuckman quotes House Majority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) as saying that the House floor is the right forum for debate about “serious issues of the day” over which members and others “have concerns.” He also called it an opportunity to showcase good news from Iraq.
Lawmakers on both sides of Capitol Hill are pressing the Pentagon to get serious about the threat cheap, small drones pose to U.S. forces at home and abroad—and to put them in the hands of American troops as quickly as possible.
