Congress Tackles Vet Employment: The Senate Veterans 
Affairs Committee is holding its first hearing of the New Year on the Administration’s progress with programs to help veterans find employment today. Lawmakers expressed concern over recent findings by the Labor Department that veterans aged 20 to 24 are twice as likely as their non-vet counterparts to be jobless.
Pentagon Task Force, FAA to Test Counter-Drone Laser

The Pentagon’s counter-drone task force announced it would conduct a high-energy laser test with the Federal Aviation Administration less than a month after the use of a military counter-drone laser on the southwest border prompted the FAA to shut down the airspace over El Paso, Texas.
