Boeing officials say the company has successfully completed several major milestones for the Global Positioning System IIF program. Among the milestones was completion of the first satellite’s initial electromagnetic compatibility and interference testing, which ensured the SV-1 satellite could be launched via an Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle. Boeing’s first Block IIF satellite would be ready for launch in 2008.
Anduril and General Atomics will develop their Collaborative Combat Aircraft for the Air Force, beating out Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman, the service announced on April 24. But any of the non-selected companies can compete to actually manufacture the eventual design, the Air Force said.
