USAF’s aerial demonstration team, the Thunderbirds, has settled on its 2006 schedule. The team plans to perform 66 shows in 29 states. Some sites will have more than one show, each of which comprises some 40 aerial maneuvers spanning about one hour. The 2006 season starts in March and closes in November. The Air Force has finished modifying and testing the new VC-25B Bridge aircraft that will serve as a temporary Air Force One, the service announced May 1. All that’s left now is to finish painting the jet before it starts flying this summer.
