The Air Force will not offer the 50-percent up-front option for all aviators and has no offerings for navigators in Fiscal 2006. Officials say that the 2006 aviator continuation pay program is only open to some 750 pilots and air battle managers. It all depends on availability of rated officers in specific year groups, they say. So what can the eligible pilots and ABMs expect? They can get a five-year, fixed agreement ACP at $25,000 for pilots and $15,000 for ABMs. Applications can be found here.
The last remaining T-1 Jayhawk at JBSA-Randolph, Texas, took its final flight to the "Boneyard" at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., on July 15. The 99th Flying Training Squadron will train pilots using T-6 and simulator until it gets T-7 Red Hawk in fiscal 2026.
