The Enlisted Professional Development Center at Eglin AFB, Fla., wants to add additional Army Air Corps and early Air Force memorabilia to its hallways to help young airmen understand the service’s roots, reports SSgt. Mike Meares. In particular, the center would like to get memorabilia from World War II through the early 1980s.
The Air Force is planning to spend $2.19 billion over the next five years to acquire new C-37 jets for transporting military and civilian leaders. That’s on top of another $1.17 billion in projected funding for the VC-25B “Air Force One” replacement.
