Lockheed Martin officials say they have produced the 4,300th F-16 fighter—a Block 50 version they will deliver to Oman. Oman has purchased 12 advanced Block 50 F-16s. Lockheed currently is producing the popular fighter for Chile, Israel, Poland and the United Arab Emirates. And, Greece has ordered 30 Vipers.
Anduril and General Atomics will develop their Collaborative Combat Aircraft for the Air Force, beating out Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman, the service announced on April 24. But any of the non-selected companies can compete to actually manufacture the eventual design, the Air Force said.
