The Air Force now has an unusual one-stop, 24-hour technical support center to help solve any F/A-22 Raptor maintenance issues. Lockheed Martin said the TSC, located at Marietta, Ga., is “a first in contractor sustainment support.” The center comprises contractor and USAF personnel, who have 24-hour access to technical data, engineers, and program officials—all bent on shortening the turnaround time for support services.
Aircraft readiness will suffer if Congress does not approve some $1.5 billion worth of spare parts the Air Force requested in its annual Unfunded Priorities List, sent to Capitol Hill last week, Chief of Staff Gen. David W. Allvin said.
