The enlisted force of Air Force Special Operations Command honored Lt. Gen. Michael Wooley, outgoing AFSOC commander, with the Order of the Sword. MSgt. Andrea Porter reports that Wooley is the sixth AFSOC commander to be inducted into the order. A special guest at the ceremony, retired CMSAF James Binnicker, said of Wooley, “I have seen a lot of general officers in my life … I have not seen any that would equal his compassion, his interest and love for his enlisted corps.”
The rate of building B-21 bombers would speed up if the fiscal 2026 defense budget passes. But it remains unclear how much capacity would be added, and whether the Air Force would simply build the bombers faster, or buy more.
