The Alpha and Bravo 332nd Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron flights at Balad AB, Iraq, continuously rotate shifts to guard the base. Journalist TSgt. Jennifer Gregoire reports that they are mindful of the constant attacks going on around them as they confront military of all ranks, civilians, contractors, and local nationals during their 14-hour days that start with the typical law enforcement briefing from one shift to another—the guard mount.
The last remaining T-1 Jayhawk at JBSA-Randolph, Texas, took its final flight to the "Boneyard" at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., on July 15. The 99th Flying Training Squadron will train pilots using T-6 and simulator until it gets T-7 Red Hawk in fiscal 2026.
