According to a report by Gene Rector of The Telegraph, at least two former commanders of the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center in Georgia, are pessimistic about USAF plans for its new Global Logistics Support Center. Another former WRALC boss thinks it is time for just such a move. As we reported earlier, the GLSC would serve as a central supply chain manager, operating through personnel located at each of the Air Force’s three ALCs that will be transferred-in-place to the GLSC, headquartered at Scott AFB, Ill. A union representative for civilian workers at WRALC fears the ultimate outcome would be fewer jobs and reduced authority for the ALCs. Retired Maj. Gen. Ron Smith wants the plan to succeed, but he’s concerned that the “very complex process” may come unwound. Retired Maj. Gen. Rick Goddard believes the GLSC-backers “have no clue of all the moving parts that have to be managed and worked.” On the other hand, retired Lt. Gen. Bill Hallin said that it is “essential that we take an integrated, Air Force-wide approach to the supply chain instead of continuing to manage too many independent links.”
Top Lawmakers Want 15 Percent Pay Raise for Enlisted Troops

A new law introduced by Congress would raise the pay rate 15 percent for junior enlisted troops and seek improvements on a range of quality of life issues, such as pay and compensation, child care, housing, health care access, and military spouse employment.
