Air Force officials say they have reached a major milestone with the recent signing of a record of decision for Dover AFB, Del., marking the last step toward the base’s efforts to remediate the 59 contaminated sites that put it on the Environmental Protection Agency’s superfund national priorities list. Acceptance of the ROD means that the EPA approves of the remediation plan. An EPA official called the Dover effort a “model for every federal facility.”
The leaders of the Pentagon’s Golden Dome program say a new “Ecosystem Hub” will make it easier for companies to pitch technology for the effort and for the government to monitor supply chain and cyber risks.
