Chief Murray Retires Today: Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force Gerald Murray is stepping down today as the top enlisted man in the Air Force, capping a 29-year career. (His official retirement date will be Oct. 1.) In a last Air Force television clip, called “Chief’s View,” Murray told airmen: “Your pride and professionalism inspires me; your competence and ability propels our Air Force. Because of you, we dominate in our domain … air, space, and cyberspace.” CMSgt. Rodney McKinley takes over as the 15th CMSAF.
Anduril and General Atomics will develop their Collaborative Combat Aircraft for the Air Force, beating out Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman, the service announced on April 24. But any of the non-selected companies can compete to actually manufacture the eventual design, the Air Force said.
