Four airmen from the 66th Security Forces Squadron at Hanscom AFB, Mass., recently received medals for their service in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Maj. Michael Gimbrone, MSgt. Jody Laffon, SSgt. Jason Lussier, and SSgt. Theodore Yost II were all honored for their work while deployed to an Army base outside Mosul, Iraq, where they performed base security for a rotated Army unit, reports the Lexington Minuteman. Gimbrone received the Bronze Star; Laffon the Meritorious Service Medal; and Lussier and Yost each received Army Commendation Medals.
The Air Force has finished modifying and testing the new VC-25B Bridge aircraft that will serve as a temporary Air Force One, the service announced May 1. All that’s left now is to finish painting the jet before it starts flying this summer.
