The new superintendent of the US Air Force Academy already has made some changes at the Colorado Springs, Colo., campus, including restoring “Recognition Week,” more popularly known as “hell week.” Now, Lt. Gen. John Regni wants to make more fairly wide ranging changes, such as instilling more military discipline into the school and recruiting more minorities. According to the Rocky Mountain News, one of the changes he will make is to require all cadets to rise upon reveille and to eat breakfast.
With the first operational T-7A trainer jet in hand, Air Force leaders are already looking ahead to how the Red Hawk will fit with the service’s plans for sixth-generation aircraft.
