Public Worried on Iran:
The Pew Research Center has released a fresh batch of numbers on the American public’s mood relating to Iran and its pursuit of nuclear technology. According to a recent survey, 71 percent of Americans believe Iran plans to use the technology to build weapons, however, most do not favor pursuing US air strikes against Iranian military targets. A majority (64 percent) favor letting the UN and key nations impose sanctions.
The U.S. military conducted strikes on Iranian targets around the Strait of Hormuz on May 7, as the conflict with Iran flared up again—though officials say the ceasefire remains in effect.
