Pacific Air Forces closed out Red Flag Alaska 07-2 on June 15 after two weeks during which “every participating unit [got] an opportunity to plan, lead, and debrief some of the most complex missions that you can find anywhere in the world,” says Col William Wignall, the exercise Air Expeditionary Wing commander. MSgt. Anthony Davis reports that more than 1,400 military personnel from the US, Australia, and Singapore participated in this second of three planned Red Flag Alaska exercises for this year.
The last remaining T-1 Jayhawk at JBSA-Randolph, Texas, took its final flight to the "Boneyard" at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., on July 15. The 99th Flying Training Squadron will train pilots using T-6 and simulator until it gets T-7 Red Hawk in fiscal 2026.
