Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld has flown in a V-22 Osprey. Rumsfeld took one of the new tilt-rotor aircraft for a flight to Camp Lejune, N.C., on Feb. 24 to participate in the activation ceremony of the Marine Corps Special Operations Command, reports the Delaware County Daily Times.
Anduril and General Atomics will develop their Collaborative Combat Aircraft for the Air Force, beating out Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman, the service announced on April 24. But any of the non-selected companies can compete to actually manufacture the eventual design, the Air Force said.
