The US military has been decidedly tight-lipped on the much-touted Chinese/Russian military exercises now underway. But the new commander of the American Pacific Fleet says the Navy is “very interested” in the events transpiring on China’s northeast coast. US Navy Adm. Gary Roughead told the Associated Press that he was watching to see what kind of equipment the two countries would deploy. “We’re interested in the complexity and the types of systems that they bring to bear,” Roughead said.
Collaborative Combat Aircraft designs from Anduril and General Atomics passed their critical design reviews early in November, clearing the way for detailed production efforts to get underway, the Air Force said. How future versions will be upgraded is still under discussion.
