The US military has been decidedly tight-lipped on the much-touted Chinese/Russian military exercises now underway. But the new commander of the American Pacific Fleet says the Navy is “very interested” in the events transpiring on China’s northeast coast. US Navy Adm. Gary Roughead told the Associated Press that he was watching to see what kind of equipment the two countries would deploy. “We’re interested in the complexity and the types of systems that they bring to bear,” Roughead said.
The last remaining T-1 Jayhawk at JBSA-Randolph, Texas, took its final flight to the "Boneyard" at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., on July 15. The 99th Flying Training Squadron will train pilots using T-6 and simulator until it gets T-7 Red Hawk in fiscal 2026.
