While they are performing the same job they might with typical blue-suit vehicles, Air Force mechanic SSgt. Mel Perero explains: “Every vehicle is a priority. It’s got to be right every time.” The USAF maintainers say they work closely with their Army counterparts, sharing spare parts when needed.
The Space Development Agency says it’s on track to issue its next batch of missile warning and tracking satellite contracts this month after those awards were delayed by the Pentagon’s decision to divert funds from the agency to pay troops during this fall’s prolonged government shutdown.
